okay but here’s the thing.
the people who think dean doesn’t love cas, or that he never loved cas (and at no point in this post am i using the word in the romantic sense or w/e, i mean it in the cared about him deeply sense, in the “you are like a brother to me” sense oh whoops you mean he actually said that?): i’m not gonna ask “are you even watching the show” because clearly you are but with some ridiculously selective glasses on.
after everything cas did for dean, sam and, y’know, the world in general, after he gave up everything because he believed dean’s cause was just, because dean asked him to, after he and dean fought and bled together, what kind of person do you think dean is that he wouldn’t care about cas after that?
yes, dean treats cas like shit at times, particularly in seasons six and seven, but a. dean’s a pretty fucked up guy, b. cas does some pretty terrible things, and c. how upset he gets about what cas does? don’t make me lose you too? sam’s comments in season seven about how different dean’s been since they lost cas? these are all things that happen.
jesus, do you really want dean to be the kind of person who wouldn’t care about cas?
